Catherine, oggi Principessa del Galles, è meglio nota come Kate Middleton, ed è – dal 2011 la moglie di William d’Inghilterra. Il Principe di Galles è – dall’ascesa al trono di suo padre Re Carlo III, lo scorso 8 settembre 2022 – primo in linea al successione al trono britannico.
Analizziamo nel dettaglio l’evoluzione dello stile di uno tra i personaggi più amati del XXI secolo.
L’ex Duchessa di Cambridge era un’icona di stile molto già prima di sposare il Principe William in quel meraviglioso abito da sposa di Alexander McQueen firmato da Sarah Burton. Difatti l’impatto avuto da Kate sulla moda e sui costumi inglesi ed americani è stato definito dai media come Kate Middleton effect.
Già dai primi anni all’Università di St. Andrews Kate si fece notare sfilando per un evento benefico in un trasparentissimo abito nero. Per molto tempo ci è rimasta impressa nella memoria la sua immagine legata al cappotto rosso, proprio perché in più occasioni ha indossato i suoi fidati cappotti rossi di Catherine Walker, LK Bennett, Alexander McQueen e Armani.
