Golden Globe 2018: red carpet total black to protest

So, what was the definitive dress code for the 2018 Golden Globes? Total black! Everyone bid goodbye to pastel colors during this most important night for cinema and TV stars –  this was the way Hollywood‘s divas decided to show their support for the #metoo movement, and for the Time’s Up campaign, after the Weinstein scandal.

Embellishing details, embroideries and slits were everywhere to be seen on the L.A. Beverly Hilton Hotel, during a thrilling night which saw Big Little Lies win rake up tons of awards.

Oprah Winfrey, who received the special Cecil B. De Mille lifetime achievement award, had all eyes on her during her memorable speech: “And for too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth… A new day is on the horizon! But their time is up. Their time is up. Their time is up.”

Here are The Blonde Salad’s favorite 10 all-black looks, from a unique red carpet!
