The Couture Fashion Week 2019 has just ended in Paris and, despite its short duration, the inspirations for outfits and unexpected looks have been, like every year, a lot.
But something has changed, a new wind blows out of the magical locations where fairytales are not Disney’s but Dior, Chanel and Valentino‘s. And no…We are not talking about Balmain who took part to the Couture Week for the first time in 16 years, we are talking once again about the streetstyle that, imposed even on the queen Haute Couture, has made of contamination the most fashionable trend of this fashion week.
The princely clothes are now combined with combat boots and sneakers, the tulle has given way to raw cotton and drum roll, puffer jackets as they rained (or, given the last week’s weather in Paris, snowed). In this way, the Couture week has become the new stage where the most popular faces of the fashion conscious’ jetset launch new trends, transforming what was once considered a formal event in a marvelous parade of avant-garde trendsetters.
Many will be the essential garments for the coming seasons but some, between trends that go and others that come back, are real must-haves! Dior re-launches the net weave and dress up its influencers with outfits with a little 90s taste and khaki and sand palettes, even here Camp boots are a never again without.
Even the over-coat regains ground, stealing the primacy that had conquered the crop to define a more sinuous and elegant sihlouette.
How not to mention the sneakers, for years now seem the only accessory to be irreplaceable and if combined with mini dress and maxi skirt give a glamorous note to what was before chic but not trendy. Cool tip: exaggerate with measures and shapes, on the colors instead better staying on a white or clear base. Do not be shy even with the belts, as we have already anticipated the longer and maxi, the better. Cool tip: use them to tighten a maxi-coat, no egg effect…TBS word.
