Just talking about the beauties of nature wouldn’t be enough to do justice to the spectacle that one would be facing admiring some splendid destinations: Jordan, with its cities carved into the rocks and its places steeped of a yesteryear culture, is a gem to visit almost once in a lifetime.
Historical crossroads between the sea and the desert, Jordan is a land of contrasts immersed in the perfect desert palette. Miles of chocolate-coloured expanses meet the red and beige colours of the mountains to sink into the ice blue of the Dead Sea. Just a few days are enough to enjoy the beauties that this territory can offer, do you want to discover them? Here’s our guide!
The arrival, in general, is at the Amman airport from where you can move towards the sacred atmospheres of the Holy Land and the wonders of its territories. A first step can be done at the so-called City of Mosaics, Madaba, where there are many churches with mosaics that will give you the show of a rainbow of colour that you’ll struggle to forget; a gem is the ancient church of San Giorgio.
Proceeding towards Mount Nebo you will arrive at Petra in front of the spectacle of the majestic red mountains that at sunset turn into a blaze of pink. Considered one of the most fascinating places in the world, Petra is certainly worth a visit: discover the ancient tombs and the Roman theatre and let yourself be mesmerized by a world in which time does not seem to have passed.
The desert around Petra, offers some experiences that you don’t want to miss. There are camps in Wadi Rum where you can stay at night admiring, from transparent portholes, the majesty and the charm of the place. Upon awakening to welcome you will be a desert made of fabulous landscapes that will make you live the emotion of being immersed in the palette of an oriental painter. Among rock skyscrapers and sandy oceans, don’t miss a stop at the Valley of the Moon.
To perfectly end the journey, move to the Dead Sea, located more than 400 meters below the sea level, to truly experience something unique. Enjoy the relax and the benefits of its waters and as usual...don’t forget to stop along the way to take photos (although it will come quite spontaneously)
