A triumph of tulle and pleated fabrics is the antechamber of yesterday’s Giambattista Valli Haute Couture presentation in Paris. Giambattista’s woman for this next F/W 2019-2020 will be worn with contemporaneity without ever renouncing to the romantic-chic charm, that has always distinguish the modern princesses of the Maison.
At the entrance, a palette that makes pink the absolute protagonist of the next seasons, re-designed and embellished by unusual and trendy details. The first dresses to welcome us, are a dream made of tulle with unconventional upper parts, that recalls sometimes a man shirt, others a super feminine bustier. The skirt is layered and enriched by the detail of the bow which is a trademark for the Parisian Maison. To follow, some bicolour proposals with the contrast shades of black and pink or white and cyclamen on new shapes with a super short skirt on the front and train on the back. Fabric’s flowers and feathers refine the lines of short and square-cut dresses, making haute couture incredibly wearable.
Puff sleeves, Bardot necklines and wrap around shapes, characterize the second part of the F/W Giambattista Valli’s presentation. Add to this some floral patterns and pastel shades that leave the pink behind to opt for nuances like aquamarine, lilac and apple green. Here’s the unmissable gallery of this fabulous presentation:
