We can now say it with certainty: orange is the new black!
Instagram‘s It-Girls and most loved influencers have decreed it, flaunting outfits from tangerine to apricot to amber.
A trail of bright and vitaminic tones, with an oriental spirit that evokes the colours and sensations of a summer in Marrakech.
Trend setters and celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Zendaya and Camila Coelho preferred monochrome dresses (the Bec + Bridge sheath dress in candlelight orange worn by Kendall literally invaded the feeds of all the Instagram fashion pages), while Valentina Ferragni, Aimee Song and Brittany Xavier preferred ginger-coloured tops on jeans and shorts.
A trend that focuses on the vivacity of the colour rather than on the cut and originality of the design, and that also peeps out in the collections of the big maisons.
Valentino had shown a splendid pleated minidress in carrot orange for the Spring Summer 2019, and also for the Autumn Winter 2020 it proposed orange in a coat decorated with feathers of an intense coral, followed by a long dress tightened at the waist with paisley pattern in cider shades by Etro.
Orange also appears in the SS of Byblos, Fendi and Stella McCartney, who realized single-colour total-looks.
In short, it seems that orange does not give up and resists those who define it too fanciful and difficult to combine and continues to establish itself as the top colour of the coming seasons!
