The health emergency caused by Covid-19 affects everyone indiscriminately and is literally bringing the hospitals of northern Italy to its knees. In moments like these, unity is strength and our Chiara Ferragni together with her husband Fedez, has decided to launch a GoFundMe fundraiser, in favor of the San Raffaele hospital in Milan. The aim of the fundraiser is the creation of NEW BEDS IN THE INTENSIVE THERAPY DEPARTMENT. Those who are affected by the Coronavirus, in fact, run the risk of needing special beds to monitor their vital functions, as respiratory functions are compromised. These beds are running out and now more than ever there is a need for new ones! The beds are in fact necessary and strictly indispensable to face the health emergency to which we are exposed and to provide the patients with the medical care they need.
The initiative carried out in collaboration with Prof. Alberto Zangrillo, chief of cardiovascular and general intensive therapy of the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, will go to support the intensive therapy unit for seriously ill patients. The wards are in fact insufficient to cope with the current crisis and the beds needed are far more expensive than those of a normal hospital stay. In fact, vital function monitors, ventilators that assist breathing and infusion pumps for liquids and drugs are needed.
