Easter is upon us, this year with a different, new, perhaps more nostalgic spirit, but which for the first time has as its purpose the only common good and union. Even if this year, in fact, we will be forced to celebrate Easter away from our loved ones and in our homes, it does not mean that someone cannot be made happy. Some of the best-known producers of chocolate and Easter eggs have put themselves at the service of the community, donating eggs or giving to charity the proceeds in support of those who are less fortunate or who are fighting in the front line to stem the tragic Coronavirus emergency. It is a duty of everyone to try to help in turn, and for this year let’s try to prefer a nice gesture to a toy surprise, choosing one of the Easter eggs of those who joined the fight against the virus:
SANRIO & ALESSANDRO ENRIQUEZ
Sanrio, owner of the Hello Kitty icon with the support of Alessandro Enriquez and the collaboration of Paluani Spa, has decided to donate 2000 Easter eggs. The protagonists? Two of the most famous and cute characters from Sanrio: Hello Kitty and My Melody. The eggs will be donated to doctors, nurses and health workers from four hospitals located in the areas most affected by the epidemic and their families. The goal is to give big smiles with a small gesture, giving a parenthesis of sweetness to those who have seen so much tragedy with their own eyes and have never pulled back from helping others. Alessandro Enriquez, a great friend of the brand, who has already used the two characters in the past in his collections and creative projects, has declared how this initiative wants to taste something good, literally and otherwise, to give simple moments such as traditions to those who have recently made goodness their handbook.
The chocolate eggs will be donated to Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan, Sacro Cuore Don Calabria Hospital in Negrar di Valpolicella (VR), Sant’Orsola Hospital in Bologna and ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia

Even the most famous maitre chocolatier in the world have chosen not to remain on the sidelines. For this Easter 2020, Lindt has donated 20 thousand eggs to the Lombard hospitals including Niguarda hospital (Milan), Sant’Ambrogio clinical institute (Milan), Cremona hospital, Brescia civil hospital, Chiari hospital, Desenzano hospital and Bergamo hospital. The aim, in this case too, is to support all those who are on the front lines during this dramatic moment, bringing a little relief and sweetness. In addition, Lindt and his employees actively supported the Italian Red Cross with a donation.

Perugina has decided to donate over 90 thousand Easter eggs to the Food Bank for families in difficulty, to which Nestlé is already sending all the essential food items present among its products. Nestlè underlined how fundamental it is not only to try to respond to the daily need in this moment of emergency but also to make small but significant gestures of joy and normality.

Even the most loved egg by children will bring a little joy to the hearts of our contemporary heroes. Ferrero, a Piedmontese company leader in the sector, has in fact decided to donate 3,840 Kinder Gran Sorpresa eggs to Asl To3, to support all health companies in Piedmont with a gesture of closeness and solidarity. In fact, the fight against Coronavirus involves each of us, and it is up to each of us to bring a little smile where it has been missing lately.
