MFW Fashion Shows Day 1

Let’s relive and analyze together the SS 21 presentations of our favorite brands from the first day of this Milan Fashion Week. Are you ready to discover the favorite looks of our Chiara Ferragni?

DSQUARED2 SS 21

The essential is the star of Dsquared2‘s latest SS 21 collection. After a past made up of excesses and creations with a rock soul, Dsquared’s latest co-ed collection winks at minimal, opting for the logic of less is more, as this fashion season wants. Punk music makes us feel at home, but in a lighter way than usual, as well as in clothes that feature only army and punk details on unusual tailoring cuts. In women’s looks, the slits and mini accessories make the sophisticated shapes of the dresses bold, which choose black & white as an exceptional nuance. Zebra-colored midi skirts become the exceptional allies of neon polo shirts in shades of green, orange and yellow; while the trousers dare with sizes by focusing on shiny mom fit jeans and cargo trousers with rock details such as chains and carabiners. The outerwear has deep necklines that reveal the transparencies of the leather harness and to give a more than summery and sexy touch there is the lace bordering satin lingerie dress. At the feet sandals with buckles and feathers and kitten heel protagonist.

FENDI

A dream in white the Fendi SS 21 fashion show. A reference to the brand’s archival silhouettes that are revisited in a patchwork look by Silvia Venturini Fendi. Rome is more present than ever in this collection, a symbol of the restart, and completes the identity card of a brand that recalls a forgotten refinement to look to the future. All shades of white are the protagonists, declined from time to time in cream, optical white and beige. To break, but not interrupt, the purity of baby blue, wisteria and brown outfits. Among the items on the catwalk, the undisputed star is the shirt that is declined in the caftan, jumpsuit and chemisier versions. Crochet and broderie anglaise lace embellish daytime outfits paired with 60s accessories such as hats with oversized brim and wide visors. Collars and midi lengths are the protagonists of the dresses enriched by floral embroidery in bobbin lace on the edges and slits. There is no shortage of outerwear too and take on romantic and soft shapes like coats with puffed sleeves and extra light cropped down jackets with collars (to love). The Baguette, definitely brought back into vogue, returns for next summer dressed in straw and woven knit, together with the new version of the iconic Pekaboo and bucket bags in lace and fishnet.

N°21

Also in the Dell’Acqua house there is a return to origins, already announced by the collections of the past seasons. The codes of the maison are recovered, cleaning the silhouettes of any excess to take on a touch of lightness and simplicity. Feathers and silk alternate in the dresses, combined with double-breasted jackets with a raw cut in poplin. Layering is played with the pants, slightly flared for everyday looks, in a winning match with oversized chiffon shirts and cardigans. Together with the blazers, the trench coats are the real stars of the outerwear, in a vinyl version in shades of gray and nude tones. Also for N ° 21 the lingerie dress is an indispensable garment, this time, in shades of purple (trendy color) or in the more classic black version. The cuts of the dresses are unprecedented, with cut-out details and portholes on bralettes embellished with metal elements. The layers then continue on the shirts, with a masculine and classic cut, but covered with a veil of black chiffon. Pencil skirts give a sophisticated and sometimes retro allure to the entire collection, made absolutely contemporary by silk joggers and crop tops.

ALBERTA FERRETTI

Deliberately bold and never vulgar, Alberta Ferretti‘s woman for this upcoming SS 21 is free and extremely feminine in her simplicity. The Safari mood and the mini dimensions of skirts and tops are back on the catwalks, almost as if wanting to shout at the world what the brand’s stylistic codes are. Embossed trousers, crop tops and bralettes, colonial shirts and safari suits are the result of a skilful research that has been able to remove all the superfluous and redesign a new path. No sequins or feathers for next summer, but linen, cotton, silk and suede. Everything, even the setting, has a mood that the British would call raw, in the purest and most natural sense of the term. In fact, nature is also the inspiration for the palettes ranging from mustard to apricot praise white and have accents of timeless total black. Long dresses, now the most beloved garment of every AF collection, are once again inspired by Greco-Roman shapes, with plunging necklines, braided straps and oversized lengths. The accessories are simple and perfectly suited: low gladiator sandals and oversized bags for a tribute to the comfy lifestyle.
