A joyful and optimistic proposal, that of the Louis Vuitton pre-fall 2021 collection, which invites you to fill up on “Vuittamins”. Fashion pills that take shape, under the artistic direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, through three main themes that want to symbolize the nature of the iconic Vuitton woman.
The three main themes addressed by Ghesquière are the reflection of a contemporary society in change, they are the result of a fashion that takes inspiration from trends to transform itself into something new and from which to be inspired in turn. Tech Romanticism, this is the first of the topics addressed, and a perfect fusion between a romantic attitude and excellent materials, precisely technical, which through delicate embroidery mix the urban mood, trendsetter of the moment, with the most intimate emotions.
Energetic Sportswear, a combination of colors that collide to create new chromatic duets. Blue and Bordeaux, Red and Purple, Yellow and Lime are the new combinations that make the items in the collection unique. They wink at sportswear but are suitable for the everyday wardrobe, and to be the protagonists are the sweatpants open on the sides by a zip, a mood that recalls the fashion of the early 2000s, the bermuda shorts with a masculine fit, the anoraks in technical fabric and the t-shirts.
Rediscovering Essentials is the third theme and fashion handbook of this last period. Rediscover essential garments and shapes, comfortable and suitable for the lifestyle that, like it or not, we all had to modify and adapt. Icons of the brand intertwine with a relaxed and incredibly fashion mood. The protagonists are the new pillow boots, now a symbol among fashion addicts, the oversized outerwear and the unforgettable accessories of the Maison such as the Monogram Empreinte clutch bag, the Cannes bag and the bum bags, declined in new and unprecedented colors.
Ambassador and face of the collection is Stacy Martin, photographed by Nicolas Ghesquière as an unprecedented heroine of the Nouvelle Vague.
“Stacy has an innate elegance and an inspiring personality. I have a lot of respect for her artistic path, her bold choices and the roles she wanted to play. I really enjoyed photographing Stacy. So cool and relaxed, I love the way she wears my collection.” Nicolas Ghesquière.
