Summer is one of the most popular seasons of the year, the one in which we dust off some of the most iconic pieces in our wardrobes. For decades now, shorts, have established themselves as an enduring trend. The distinctive feature of shorts is that there is a wide availability of different models to choose from on the market. Different lengths, materials, colours and models, looking for the perfect shorts for your summer will not be that difficult, it is definitely the garment of the moment. On the catwalks of the Spring/Summer 2022 fashion weeks around the world, shorts are one of the absolute stars. In this, one of the hottest seasons of the year, it becomes difficult to show off our beloved jeans and we opt for freshness looks that inevitably cannot do without the irreplaceable shorts. From their more minimal version by Dior and Hermès, to the very colourful one by Valentino and MSGM, passing through the micro version by Blumarine, to the adaptation of the men’s boxer shorts revisited in a chic key by Lacoste.
Shorts are considered a versatile garment, and it is no coincidence that they are ideal for many different occasions. In fact, shorts can be sporty or more tailored, in fine fabrics such as silk and taffeta, in denim, or as we have seen at Fendi with unusual shearling details. Of all the models, denim hot pants are a must-have garment that we cannot do without, perfect in post-beach situations over a swimming costume or with a very simple white T-shirt and sandals. Because with the great classics, you know, it’s hard to go wrong.
Watching the fashion show, we noticed how varied the colour palette chosen for the shorts is between prints and bright colours.
