For anyone who lived through the early 1990s, the expression lip liner is by no means new. However, this beauty trend did not always enjoy a very good reputation, and at the time, it seemed that the only-or at least the most common-use of these pencils was to outline the lips more than sharply and in contrast to their natural color.
