London Fashion Week kicked off last week when many faces from the British fashion system attended a celebration entirely dedicated to the visionary Vivienne Westwood, founder of the eponymous fashion house. The likes of Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs and Elle Fanning took part in this event. On this occasion everyone was able to reflect on how important the legacy left to us all by this much-loved designer is.
Hence London Fashion Week has officially begun. And Just Like That… a succession of fashion shows from Eudon Choi to David Koma, via Simone Rocha and JW Anderson.
Amongst them all, Jonathan Anderson told the story of his Fall/Winter 2023 collection by referring to design elements from his archives, starting with his hero Michael Clark, the well-known Scottish dancer who performed innovative breakthrough performances during the 1980s.
Today, however, all eyes seem to be on the debut collection of Daniel Lee – former creative director of Bottega Veneta – at Burberry. We know very little about this new beginning, which began with a logo change a few days ago. En effet, on the British fashion house’s Instagram account we could see a new logo and some previews of the first campaign of the Burberry Prorsum line.
Now all we have to do is wait until the end of this day to be able to comment on the looks from Lee’s first catwalk for Burberry.
A GALLERY OF THE BEST LOOKS FROM THE FIRST DAYS OF LONDON FASHION WEEK
We have chosen to encapsulate some of the best looks from these first two days of the fashion shows in one of our galleries. The next Fall/Winter collection already seems to want to tell itself, by oxymoron, as the season of flowers. In fact, there are many fashion shows where this element of nature continues to emerge. It happened especially during Richard Quinn‘s show, set at the Seymour Leisure Centre in West London, in a Victorian hall literally covered with flowers.
