Today, April 14, we celebrate the birthday of Sarah Michelle Gellar, who turns 46. As many may know, Gellar is one of the most iconic actresses of her generation and has left an indelible imprint on pop culture through her starring role in the TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” But her career has extended far beyond this role, ranging from the world of film to television production and philanthropy.
Born in New York in 1977, Gellar began acting at the age of four and gained international fame through her role as Kendall Hart in the soap opera “Valley of the Pines,” which also earned her an Emmy Award. But it was her portrayal of Buffy Summers that made her an international star.
