That’s right, as we already hinted in our previous Milan Fashion Week recap article, minimalism seems poised to conquer the world, securing a prominent position. It has officially begun – or, better said, it has returned, as many might assert – the era of ‘less is more,’ a moment we thought we had archived long ago. But no! The most celebrated fashion houses are responding to the market’s demands, which appear to lean towards this decidedly less nonconformist aesthetic compared to what we have been accustomed to seeing in recent years.
The brands are proposing a new minimalism that extends beyond the clothing and accessories presented on the runway.

This change also appears to affect the world of beauty. Notably, we’ve seen models sporting makeup that is much lighter than what we’ve become accustomed to in recent years. Few excesses, just subtle hints of red lipstick, light glowy effects, and, as seen with Prada, Antonio Marras, Jil Sander, and Moschino, special attention given to the eyes, with eyeshadows, sharp eyeliner lines, and graphic elements. How long do you think this minimalist aesthetic will endure? Will it be able to withstand this historical moment as well?
