Paris Fashion Week, which has now come to an end, closed the entire month dedicated to women’s Ready-to-Wear fashion for spring summer 2023. Paris Fashion Week, as we know, is the longest fashion week and always has plenty of news and various fashion and beauty trends in store. From Dior to Victoria Beckham, Giambattista Valli and Loewe, what are all the make-up trends chosen by the fashion houses?
The Christian Dior by Maria Grazia Chiuri fashion show, among many others, saw the triumph of graphic eyeliner. Inspired by Catherine de’ Medici, this collection is a tale of beauty looks that seem to pay special attention to the eyes, almost inspired by the Egyptian queen Cleopatra. Indeed, eyeliner was one of the protagonists of this Paris Fashion Week, from its most minimal version to a much more marked and bold one.
You don’t always have to wear elaborate and exaggerated make-up to be remembered, which is why minimal skin tones in nude colours don’t lose their charm. Victoria Beckham‘s spring summer 2023 collection is a case in point. The British designer has chosen to show on the catwalk beauty looks with an essential and delicate femininity, fresh, almost wet style. It is precisely for this reason that wet-effect skin will be one of the most popular make-up ideas for the coming season.
Even during the Louis Vuitton fashion show, we were able to admire skin in nude tones, but enhanced by a few hints of light on the cheekbones and a black shade at the lashline. A simple smudge of pencil is all that is needed to recreate this effect.
It is at Valentino‘s, however, that things start to get much more serious, here the make-up takes over the whole face and is a pattern inspired by the iconic logo of the maison founded by Valentino Garavani, now under the creative guidance of a talented and visionary Pierpaolo Piccioli.
Giambattista Valli seems to love appliqués, light spots are applied to the models’ skin – not so minimal. And you, which beauty looks from Paris Fashion Week do you feel like interpreting?
