How to describe the first day organized by Mango for their project “Mango loves fashion bloggers”? I’d say exciting.
After a huge breakfast we went to the Mango headquarter, where we all were able to see all the spring/summer 2011 collection so that we all (the 7 international fashion bloggers from different parts of the world) could be the stylists of ourselves choosing 2 outfits each to pose for photos and video. These outfits are gonna be published soon (probably this morning) ON MANGO’S WEBSITE, so that you can all vote for your favourite blogger. The winner blogger of this first “competition” will be the one with more facebook votes after a week, and she’ll be able to donate 5000 euros thanks to Mango to her chosen charity organization. In the next month there will also be another “competition” and among the 7 of us there will be picked a winner who’s gonna become the next Mango it Girl for next season.
In the first photos of the post I was wearing my outfit of the day created with my clothes and my shoes, and I promise I’ll soon tell you where they’ll be available to buy online 🙂
For the 2 Mango outfits I started with a first look created by the big straw hat mixed to the white crochet dress and leather bag, all enriched by coral tones. For sure the inspiration comes from Italy, I imagined myself at Portofino harbour or in one of Capri and Ischia wonderful beaches. La Dolce Vita, typically italian.
For the second outfit I took inspiration both from Italy (doesn’t the combination of patterns and colours I chose look similar to Miuccia Prada’s summer collection?) and also from Africa/Spain for the idea of the turban on my head (which was a tshirt in reality) mixed to the coloured skirt of that lenght. Which is your favourite of the 2 outfits I made?

Come descrivere la prima giornata organizzata da Mango per il loro progetto “Mango loves fashion bloggers”? Entusiasmante direi.
Dopo una mega colazione siamo arrivate all’headquarter di Mango, dove abbiamo potuto vedere tutta la collezione primavera/estate 2011 e scegliere i nostri capi preferiti, in modo che ognuna di noi 7 blogger internazionali provenienti da diverse parti del mondo potesse fare le stylist di noi stesse e scegliere due outfit a testa con i quali posare per foto e video.
Questi outfit verranno uploadati presto (probabilmente in mattinata) SUL SITO DI MANGO , in modo da essere votati da tutti voi. La blogger vincitrice di questa prima “competizione” sarà quella che avrà ottenuto più voti sulla pagina di facebook dopo una settimana, e donerà grazie a Mango 5000 euro ad un’associazione benefica a sua scelta. Ci sarà poi nel prossimo mese un’altra “competizione” tra noi 7 blogger e la vincitrice diventerà la It girl di Mango per la prossima stagione.
Nelle prime foto indossavo il mio outfit del giorno, creato naturalmente con i miei vestiti, e le mie scarpe di cui vi darò presto notizie 🙂
Per gli outfit di Mango invece ho iniziato con un primo look creato principalmente dal mega cappello di paglia abbinato ad abitino bianco in crochet e borsa di pelle, il tutto arricchito da accessori sui toni corallo. Naturalmente l’ispirazione viene dall’Italia, e più precisamente mi sono immaginata nel porto di Portofino o in una delle stupende spiagge di Capri ed Ischia. La Dolce Vita, tipicamente italiana.
Per il secondo look ho invece preso ispirazione sia dall’Italia (la combinazione che ho scelto non riprende fantasie e tonalità della collezione estiva di Miuccia Prada?) sia dall’Africa/Spagna per l’idea del foulard/turbante in testa (che in realtà era una tshirt) abbinato ad una gonna colorata di quella lunghezza. Quale è il vostro preferito dei due outfit che ho creato?
Un grazie particolare a Sandra, dolcissima follower del mio blog che ho incontrato li dopo mille peripezie (la ragazza riccia nella foto insieme a me) e ad Ana, che mi ha scattato la prima foto del post, di cui sono innamorata.
