Designer 2 Know: Coliac

Martina Grasselli, born in 1981, decided to start designing jewellery and accessories as a homage to the family of her maternal grandmother, the last descendant of a French family that lived between 19th and 20th century. The line shares its name with this grandmother, whose surname was, in fact, Coliac.

Coliac, a brand that started with jewellery, and evolved into a total look made of shoes, bags and clothinh, by adding slowly to the collection.

For the stylistic maturity with which Martina managed to make her brand evolve from an accessory brand into a more complete label, without ever losing in wholeness and originality. Her silhouettes are designed for contemporary, busy women, who don’t want to shock, but who do want to make an impression. Everything revolves around details and jewellery, Martina’s first love, which are always there, embellishing her clothing and her accessories.

Shoes, which grab everyone’s attention without resorting to using sky-high heels, and without betting too much on exaggerated seduction. Chiara is a fan of Coliac’s shoes, and we at TBS also chose one of her designs for an exclusive collaboration. But we have to admit… Her Spring Summer 2018 collection really stole our hearts, too!
