The time of summing up this Milan Fashion Week has come, so let’s discover together what will be the trends that will dominate the next Autumn/Winter’s fashion scenario. From the Milanese catwalks it seems that our favorite brands have opted for a journey back in time, which will see the next F/W 2020-21 as a protagonist. In particular, the 70s seem to return to the podium, accompanied by vintage floral or geometric patterns combined with tricot embroidery on dresses and longuette. Even for the textures, we returned to what was most fashionable in those years: a great return of the total leather look in black or burgundy colors, but also hints of patchwork that mixes different materials in an unforgettable hippie fashion ode. Just take a look at the Alberta Ferretti, Versace or Moncler fashion shows to understand how this will be the dominant trend of next year. But not only! Prada, seems to have gone back in its archive and Miuccia, having made a self-quotation of what have been some of her most iconic patterns, has taken up fringes and retro patterns to be re-proposed in timeless silhouettes, which redefine an almost unstructured and winning femininity . Another great protagonist is the teddy, with a romantic childish allure, it was re-proposed not only by its precursor Max Mara, but also in the coats and accessories of Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini and Etro, who also used the teddy to embellish accessories such as maxi bags and over-the-knee boots. What is missing? Well in the wardrobe of a romantically vintage woman, there cannot be the much-loved cardigan that has returned to dominate the coolest looks of the next season. Etro has made it a diktat: with a gipsy soul and wool fringes, cardigans are an inevitable element of its proposal; together with it, Missoni and Fendi in an oversize version and Versace that winking at a more american college style, has redefined the cardigan making it the must-have piece for next winter. What the colours? There is little to go wrong: evergreen black combined with desert shades: brown, beige, camel, burgundy and mustard.
