During these first bites of Paris Fashion Week 2019, many have already been the surprises as much as the trends that will rule the next Fall/Winter 2019-20.
In a Paris that is still moved and touched by the loss of King Karl, to perk up a little bit the moods come the romantic-rock atmospheres from three of the runways that impressed us the most. If we had to draw conclusions right now, we could say that the fitting of the outfits, also on French soil, is absolutely wearable even for us mere mortals and, in our view, we’re sure you’ll want to shop quite everything!…ok ok maybe is too early to say it but WEARABLE is undoubtedly the keyword of these winter outfits inspo; and among trends that go (fortunately) and others that come back. here’s a little whishlist of our, at least for now, most wanted pieces!
ONE LOVE CHRISTIAN DIOR
Majestically combined volumes and transparences are the protagonists of the latest collection signed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. To dominate: dark palettes based on the shades of grey, burgundy, petrol green and black, easy looks and as we have already said, pret-a-porter in its most original acception. Everyday outfits are constructed on recurrent iconic pieces, among which stand midi skirts and maxi blazers. In Dior‘s opinion tartan is again a trend on board and the pattern of oversized coats and pince pants in a typical british oriented taste. The white tee is back on track as well as the bustiers, the waist is super high and thight and the vinyl makes the leather jacket a super glam option. What would we shop? Tartan mini dress, midi skirts and of course the transparent long dress, oh and the hat…so cute!
THE SUMMERY WINTER OF JACQUEMUS
Unusual palette and shapes the ones chosen by Jacquemus for the next F/W 2019-20. Halterneck maxi dresses and fluid lines, blazers with soft volumes and super feminine silhouettes. The nuances cyclamin pink, baby blue and peacock green open a new and unexpected scenary for the coming cold season. The over the knee boots come back in a finally more streetwear guise, mixed with the style of the texan boots: wide leg and studded sole. A little bit too much the rafia bags and the maxi earrings, but anyway appreciable Provencal mood that recalls a little bit the designer’s childhood. What would we shop? Undoubtedly the boots, the trench coats and the relaxed fit leather pants.
SAINT GLOWING LAURENT
Lines, volumes and shapes are quite usual and super sexy, but the colors…oh those are what we didn’t expect. Black is, as scripted, ruling, the attitude is super feminine and audacious but with an androgynous personality as the Fedora inspired hats prove. The oversized coats with typical masculine shapes are matched with transparent bodysuits and minidresses. The keyword? CHAMELEON: the daywear looks change their guises during the night with amazing glow-in-the-dark effects, that Saint Laurent reintroduce as an absolute hot trend for the next winter. What would we shop? Of course everything that is neon and the one-shoulder dresses
