Conceived by Alessandro Michele as the last act of the story aimed at leaving behind the old fashion rules, the new Gucci Epilogue campaign is once again a tribute to those who have always put their creativity at the service of the brand.
Whoever creates, designs and manufactures Gucci garments and accessories is now also the endorser of the entire collection, finally unveiled after the anticipation of last summer by Michele himself who had left everyone in suspense. But what is Gucci Epilogue?
The path of creative experimentation has taken a further step forward with Epilogue and Alessandro Michele, challenging itself and fashion in general to overturn traditional rules and perspectives. For the first time during the last women’s presentation FW 2020, Gucci unveiled the behind the scenes of the magic of fashion, showed the faces of those who, without schedules or any type of creative constraint, dedicate all of themselves to the creation of the collections.
Those who wear the clothes are the ones who create them, the design team. This is the mood strongly desired by Michele to present some of the brand’s new products such as the DisneyXGucci pattern starring Donald Duck and his grandchildren, or the Gucci Liberty print. But still the focus on Jackie and much more. In fact, the Gucci Epilogue lineup reveals all the elements that have guided Gucci aesthetics in recent years, those that the creative director defines as beautiful pieces of a wardrobe, designed to be worn again and again, transcending fashion trends.
“Breaking the spell that forces my collaborators to work with passion on clothes that they must then abandon, I asked the team to wear them” these are the words of Alessandro Michele, who once again testifies to being one, if not the great revolutionary of contemporary fashion.
