Renowned French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has once again demonstrated his ability to communicate through his collections, conveying imagery and scenarios symbolic of his unique aesthetic. This time, he chose the Palace of Versailles as the location for his fashion show, a place where models walked the runway to the rhythm of evocative music, which recalled the film masterpiece dedicated to Marie Antoinette, directed by Sofia Coppola.
The supermodels of the moment, such as Gigi Hadid in a transparent lace dress and Kendall Jenner wrapped in her voluminous look, walked the runway with elegance. Sensuality was one of the key elements of this new Jacquemus fashion show, with transparencies and lace taking center stage. In addition, the low waist, a fashion element popular with fashion victims, was back in vogue and featured prominently on the runway.

Simon Porte gave a prominent role to lingerie, which took on a new meaning during the show. The collection, entitled “Le Chouchou,” as mentioned above, came to life in Versailles on a red-colored structure that immediately went viral, positioned along the waterway. Guests, seated on white boats floating on the Grand Canal, were able to admire the spectacle from a unique perspective.
In the front row were big-name celebrities such as Victoria and David Beckham, Karol G, and stylist Law Roach. Not far from them stood Monica Bellucci and Tina Kunakey, thought to be no longer the new Mrs. Cassel. In addition to the Versailles inspiration, the designer then chose to pay homage to one of his most beloved icons, Princess Diana. This homage was also evident from the jewelry on the runway, particularly the necklace adorning Kendall Jenner’s neck, which recalled the one worn with Diana Spencer’s famous “revenge dress.”
