Julien Dossena will design Jean Paul Gaultier’s next Couture collection

Jean Paul Gaultier is universally recognised as one of the greatest designers of recent decades, thanks to his innate creativity and audacity. His unique and distinctive style has had a significant impact on the entire fashion system. His personal aesthetic is characterised by a mixture of provocation and irreverence, achieved through a combination of prints, colours and fabrics.

Furthermore, Gaultier is known for his great attention to detail. Many of his garments feature small elements that make them unique, such as hidden pockets or prominent zips. His ability to create perfectly finished and cared-for garments is one of the hallmarks of his work. In each of his creations, this much-loved designer has always cultivated a feeling of profound diversity, which has become an undisputed symbol of his aesthetic. Over the years Gaultier has chosen models of all shapes and sizes, he has woven popular culture and subcultures into his designs, showing clothes for her and for him. JPG distinguished himself as one of the first to present plus-size models on the catwalk and to embrace the idea of genderless fashion.

The next collaboration with Julien Dossena, creative director of Paco Rabanne for 10 years…

The imagery of the designer known as the enfant terrible of fashion, namely Jean-Paul Gaultier, will soon be told through the creativity of Julien Dossena, creative director of Paco Rabanne. During the upcoming Paris Fashion Week dedicated to Haute Couture collections, Dossena will present his personal vision of Gaultier’s universe. This collaboration represents Dossena’s Couture debut and an opportunity to try something new, after having followed – as guest designer at Jean Paul Gaultier – creatives such as Haider Ackermann, Olivier Rousteing, Glenn Martens and Chitose Abe.
