Despite often being considered less relevant compared to others, London Fashion Week continues to demonstrate its importance as a milestone in the global fashion landscape, and this year we witnessed Burberry‘s Autumn/Winter 2024-25 runway show, helmed by the talented designer Daniel Lee. In an ever-evolving industry, where authenticity and diversity are now fundamental values, the presented collection offered a fascinating and innovative glimpse based on the rich heritage of the historic British fashion house.
Indeed, the collection draws inspiration from the roots of this brand, evoking enchanted landscapes and highly elegant atmospheres. The brand’s iconic codes have evolved through refined shapes and fabrics, conveying a sense of warmth, protection, and timeless elegance. All silhouettes seem to narrate a harmonious mashup of tradition and modernity, with iconic outerwear such as gabardine trenches and jackets reinterpreted in a contemporary key.
Daniel Lee is one of the most esteemed ‘new’ designers, and once again, he showcased his strong ability to narrate stories through fashion. Burberry once again offered such an inclusive and universal vision of fashion. The models, including familiar faces and new discoveries, portrayed a variety of characters, creating a symphony of styles ranging from the elegant ladies of Bruton to the London dandies.
“Finally, the most beloved stride of the fashion system, namely that of Naomi Campbell, concluded another delightful Lee-signed fashion show.”
