SOME LOOKS FROM NENSI DOJAKA’S SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTION
Nensi Dojaka won the 2021 edition of the LVMH Prize dedicated to new fashion talents. A strong message based on the idea of female freedom emerges from her collections, and for Spring/Summer 2023 the designer has once again confirmed this. This collection is a tale of sophisticated sensuality made up of asymmetries, sparkles and chiffon. The inspiration comes especially from the much-loved 90s, from the grunge aesthetic that seems to fascinate the younger generation in particular. Prominent among the fabrics is denim, processed in different colour baths and particular cuts.
SOME LOOKS FROM DAVID KOMA’S SPRING SUMMER 2023 COLLECTION
David Koma, a designer who grew up in St. Petersburg, has however made London his home. Creative director of Mugler from 2013 to 2017, he soon after launched his own brand that in no time seems to have literally conquered celebrities and the entire fashion system in general. His latest Spring/Summer 2023 collection comes to life on the streets of the Theatre Courtyard Gallery, the same place where William Shakespeare showed us his first play. David Koma’s imagery is a manifesto of creativity, a marriage of the natural and the urban. One of the main inspirations seems to be the sea, which is why the designer has created macramé tops and skirts inspired by typical fishermen’s knots. To this mood Koma then combined a decidedly – as already mentioned – more urban idea. Leather biker jackets, tight leggings and high boots alternated on the catwalk.
