Dior‘s latest runway show during the first day of Paris Fashion Week left the audience spellbound with the tale of a perfect blend of classic elegance and decidedly contemporary style. That’s right, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri inaugurated Paris Fashion Week with a collection that embodies the excellence of the historic French fashion Maison, reinterpreting its key elements with a touch of modernity.
The runway featured trenches and garments embellished with graffiti spelling “Miss Dior,” while soft color tones perfectly blended with Dior’s representative hues, evoking an atmosphere of elegant sobriety.
Then, denim, animal prints, and a myriad of precious details captured attention, transforming the runway into a stage of rare beauty. In fact, the entire narrative then shifted to a more sophisticated vision, worthy of a true “Madame Dior.”
And as if that weren’t enough to capture the imagination, an exceptional sound added an extra touch of magic. We’re talking about the 1969 track “Je t’aime… moi non plus” – sung (and then censored) by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin. So iconic and yet provocative, with its intrinsic sensuality, it catapulted the audience into a whirlwind of emotions.
