In the pulsating heart of America, amidst lands rich in history and culture, the renowned fashion house Ralph Lauren has announced an unprecedented collaboration with seventh-generation Diné (Navajo) textile artist Naiomi Glasses. This captivating mashup between the iconic fashion house and the talented artisan translates into a timeless collection dedicated to celebrating the art, culture, and artistic mastery of the Navajo Nation—a Native American reservation spanning the states of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah in the southwestern United States. Thus, this new collaboration marks a new chapter in the brand’s history, committed to giving voice to diverse stories and fostering creative bonds in the communities that inspire its masterpieces.
Specifically, in 2022, the brand introduced the “Artist in Residence” program, opening its doors to craftsmen of various skills to collaborate with Ralph Lauren’s creative teams. This program perfectly transforms inspiration into authentic cooperation and collaboration with the communities that have shaped Ralph Lauren’s ethical and creative vision over the years.

The deep connection with Diné tradition and culture is perfectly conveyed through the Ralph Lauren x Naiomi Glasses collection. Moreover, this collection will be presented through three seasonal launches of limited editions until 2024, capturing the timeless essence of Navajo traditions through the unique perspective of this designer. The first release, available since December 5th on RalphLauren.com, the Ralph Lauren app, Tmall, and in selected Ralph Lauren stores globally, offers 32 pieces of men’s, women’s, and unisex clothing and accessories.
This collection is a true journey between past and present, with contemporary interpretations of iconic Navajo symbols. From traditional patterns to the spider woman, including jacquard coats, crosses, and Saltillo diamonds.
Finally, the photographic campaign and videos were created by talents such as Ryan Redcorn and Darren Sells, under the direction of Shaandiin Tome.
