Just in time to savor the crisp air of this summer that has just begun, comes fashion with its futurist gaze to put us in front of the trends of next Summer 2022. The Resort SS 22 fashion shows closed very recently, in an ode to the hot season and the unexpected and unexpected trends that will animate it.
Dior
The extraordinary ability of Maria Grazia Chiuri to open the Dior archives and each time give it a new interpretation, is also the common thread of this Dior Cruise SS 22. Once again, in fact, the stylistic codes of the brand are inextricably linked to customs and traditions ancient, proudly carrying the bulwark of brands that have made their values a distinctive feature. Dior returns to Athens, where Monsieur Christian had been 70 years ago. The SS 22 collection has nothing to do, however, with classicism but rather reinvents itself in a modern perspective with fluid and oversized dresses over sneakers or rubber boots. The Dior Oblique print adorns contemporary total looks made of bomber jackets, biker shorts and oversized sweatshirts. Sport is a recurring theme and recalls Ancient Greece in its most real sense, translating into swim caps, bathrobes, sports tops and bags. To counteract the sporting nature, new goddesses arrive on the catwalk in semi-transparent white dresses or silver sequins, taking up in the shapes the characters who have written the history of European culture, such as the swan dress inspired by Leda mother of Elena.
Alberta Ferretti
The Safari mood, now dear to Alberta Ferretti’s SS presentations, also dominates the SS 22 collection. The colors of the earth and the organic textures of a proposal that plays with volumes and overlaps, are the protagonists of strictly wide and waisted trousers high, with an unmistakably masculine cut, which makes an already fluid style androgynous. These are matched with coats without half sizes: oversized trench coats or cropped jackets to combine with micro tops or coord suits. The touch of femininity is given by the maxi dresses, never too large, adherent to the right point and with an imperial style, on draped and ultra-light fabrics that wrap the bust.
Versace
Versace’s SS22 Resort collection is a romantic pop tale of the traits that have made the brand an icon. Iconic materials, textures, shapes and prints are reinvented in a contemporary way. Mini dresses in total black or tartan tweed are made bold by chains, platform heels and bandana-style headdresses, vinyl dresses show the shapes of a contemporary, fresh and young femininity that focuses on monochrome looks and accessories. The chain returns as a motif of prints on dresses in pastel and ultra sexy tones, in pendant with straight-cut men’s suits
Etro
A hymn to bohemian life in its most rock and true meaning, Etro Resort SS 22 is a combination of the two styles that best describe the soul of the maison. Jackets and coats are the protagonists, alternating with ponchos and biker jackets mixing leather, fringes and denim. The iconic paisley pattern is the protagonist on shirts and knitwear, embellished with fringes and beads that speak of a carefree and daring summer.
