ALL THE LOOKS FROM DIOR’S HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION FOR SPRING/SUMMER
Dior‘s Haute Couture runway for Spring/Summer 2024, once again, transformed the catwalk into an experience of pure visual poetry. Isabella Ducrot’s installation, “Big Aura,” kicked off a spectacle of twenty-three imposing outfits displayed on the walls and inspired by the Ottoman sultans, as seen by the artist in Istanbul.
Maria Grazia Chiuri described the ‘Big Aura’ collection as a tangible interpretation of the aura that envelops each Haute Couture creation, reflecting the uniqueness and authenticity of art. The collection drew inspiration from the iconic “La Cigale” dress from 1952, turning Haute Couture into a sacred adventure between art and life.
The moiré fabric, in various color nuances, dominated the scene, while the models followed the geometric lines of the aforementioned dress. Furthermore, cotton, silk, velvet, feathers, and various sparkling embroideries added a magical dimension and embellished the show.
