Versace‘s latest Fall/Winter 2023 fashion show took place last night in the beautiful setting of the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles. It was an incredible catwalk where models of the caliber of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, the stainless Naomi, Vittoria Ceretti and Emily Ratajkowski walked the runway.
This collection marks a new era for the celebrated Italian fashion house, again under the creative direction of Donatella Versace. The Maison pays special attention to the Atelier and the heritage of the brand, returning to an authentic tailoring of garments. This imagery seems to want to tell the true luxury under the banner of a unique wardrobe between innovation and tradition. Energy, glamour and creativity are values that Versace holds dear, describing an unprecedented DNA.
The collection features incredible cuts, the iconic suits from Versace’s history, black and proportions with irresistible appeal, as well as a tribute to the 1990s. In fact, the looks, but especially the attitude, on the runway seem to take us back to Avedon’s images of 1995. The star body shape is undoubtedly the hourglass shape, between straight shoulders and A-line skirts.
The present and the future, you know, are never so certain without such a rich past.
