New York Fashion Week is, like all fashion weeks around the world, almost a marathon. A variety of fashion houses have walked some of the most pop catwalks in the New York scene, not only brands, but also different collections. During this NYFW they did not only show collections from Spring/Summer 2023, but as in the case of COS and TOMMYNOW also Fall/Winter 2022.
New York Fashion Week began with Fendi‘s fashion show-event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the famous Baguette bag, and ended with Tom Ford’s dazzling collection of sequins and sequins. With over 100 brands presenting their spring and summer collections, this was an eventful fashion week.
Moreover, many maisons chose the Big Apple as their preferred location, among them Marni, who chose to present its Brooklyn collection instead of Milan.
Amongst all the new trends, we loved Tommy Hilfiger, who literally relaunched the preppy trend with the TOMMYNOW collection, a mashup of classic prints and iconic Hilfiger heritage with bold accessories. In these new collections there was no shortage of colour, skilfully used by Altuzarra, or the transparencies symbolic of maisons such as Jason Wu and Khaite and a new elegance signed by Michael Kors, compared by many to the iconic Tom Ford.
