Dior Takes Italy: The Iconic Brand Opens 3 Exclusive Pop-Up Stores

The love story between Dior and Italy continues and Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of the brand, is again its Cupid, who has now made the link between the Parisian fashion house and her homeland, Italy, indissoluble. Conceived as an ode to La  Dolce Vita, the Dioriviera collection, created by Chiuri, arrives again in Italy in special pop-up stores. The most iconic Italian tourist resorts are still the favourite protagonists of the Dioriviera pop-ups, far from the epicentres of the fashion system, but very close to a lifestyle that is one of a kind. The sea, the landscapes, the lightness and the pastel colours of these places mix with iconic textures to create an incredibly romantic Pre Fall 2020 collection.

The dedicated pop-up stores will open in Forte dei Marmi from 13 June, in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 1 July and inCapri from 27 June. Simultaneously with these, the iconic fashion show (it is confirmed, it will be done!) Which will take place in Lecce on July 22nd. Inside the exclusive pop-ups, the iconic Toile de Jouy motifs will come to life, an embodiment of French savoir-faire and an emblem of the Dior heritage, interpreted in a contemporary key and fused to the Italian tradition, in a tribute to the local craftsmanship unique in its kind. In addition to these wonderful albeit temporary boutiques, the island of Capri will also offer another heavenly destination: The Riccio Restaurant & Beach Club, a favourite destination for all the true lovers of the Dolce Vita of yesterday and today. This unique setting, overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean, will host an incredible space, accessible only by sea, where Dior creations will merge in harmony with the surrounding nature, in a bamboo and cannage show.

Presented together with exclusive Dior Maison objects, the brand’s home decor line, the essential elements of the capsule include marine sweaters and summer accessories, in addition to the iconic Dior Book Tote, Saddle and Diorcamp bags, which have for some seasons now entered the bucket list of every fashion addicted. The it-bags will be revisited with motifs inspired by the designs of the Roman artist Pietro Ruffo, from the Dior Around The World line. As previously mentioned, Toile de Jouy and bayadère stripes on cushions, umbrellas and personalized beach huts in the lounge area will join these unpublished textures. The pop-ups, conceived as an invitation to take a break in an irresistible context characterized by the beauty of life, have already become an indispensable stop for all those who have chosen to live, this summer so different and unique, in a so iconic Italian way.
