In one of the most popular frames for tourists and locals, Louis Vuitton brings the lirbairie éphémère. In the Piazzetta di Capri, at the foot of the famous majolica bell tower of the island, the historic aedicule, a landmark for the inhabitants and visitors of the blue island, comes back to life in a new guise with the magical touch of Louis Vuitton.
After more than 90 years of activity, the newsstand has moved, leaving a void for all visitors and inhabitants looking for newspapers, magazines and books from all over the world, to be browsed by the Capri sun. This is why Louis Vuitton has chosen this place, a reference for almost a century of reading lovers, as a new space dedicated to publishing signed by the Maison, animating it with the rainbow of necklaces dedicated to travel, City Guides, Fashion Eye and Travel Books.
The librairie éphémère project arrives on the island of Capri for its third Italian stage. The debut was in Venice in April, with the recovery and restoration of six historic newsstands thanks to the contribution of the Maison, followed by Milan in June, on the occasion of the Design Week. Because of its ephemeral nature, the Louis Vuitton newsstand will be open for the summer season, from 8 July to 4 September. Respecting the original architecture, bringing the note of elegance and vivacity that distinguishes the rainbow of the Louis Vuitton editions, the Maison intends to attract the attention of the public, especially the younger one, on the beauty and value of quality editorial products, helping to pass it on to future generations.
