Plot
Dedicated to Queen Charlotte’s rise to power, this prequel to the Bridgerton universe tells how the marriage of the young queen to King George represented not only a great love story, but also a social change, leading to the birth of the English high society in which Bridgerton’s characters live.

Cast
Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) reprise their Bridgerton roles in this miniseries. India Amarteifio (Line of Duty) plays Queen Charlotte as a young woman, Michelle Fairley (Gangs of London) as Princess Augusta, Corey Mylchreest (The Sandman) as young King George, and Arsema Thomas as young Agatha Danbury. Also in the cast are Sam Clemmett (Harry Potter and the Heir’s Curse – West End and Broadway, The War Below) as young Brimsley, Freddie Dennis (The Nevers) as Reynolds, and Richard Cunningham (The Witcher) as Lord Bute. Finally, Tunji Kasim (Nancy Drew) plays Adolphus, Rob Maloney (Casualty) the royal physician, Cyril Nri (Cucumber) Lord Danbury, and Hugh Sachs (Bridgerton 1 and 2) Brimsley (as an elder).
