Yes, the “Sex and the City” universe finally seems to be shining in all its glory once again. The latest news reported by Variety reveals that Kim Cattrall will make a resounding comeback as the iconic New York PR star Samantha Jones in the season two finale of “And Just Like That…,” the sensational revival of the celebrated HBO series. After being absent in the first season of the reboot, the unforgettable interpreter of Samantha in the original series will finally make her triumphant return.
Beware, however, the actress will star in only one scene – perhaps only for now – intense and unforgettable. According to official sources, Kim Cattrall shot her lines without even crossing paths with the show’s other stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker, or even with executive producer Michael Patrick King. Yet, this is a real twist that leaves everyone breathless.
The “And Just Like That” reboot in the first season involved Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis in the roles of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte, amid complex relationships, brilliant careers and family drama. Thus, the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha promises a touch of magic to one of the most beloved revivals ever.

En effet, just yesterday Variety announced that in the next season of the series Max–formerly known as HBO Max–Cattrall will make her return through a phone conversation with the character played by Sarah Jessica Parker. In the scene, Samantha, who has moved to London in the show, will have a phone conversation with Carrie Bradshaw. In the first season of “And Just Like That,” Carrie had several ‘dialogues’ with Samantha only through phone messages, then, in the season finale, the two planned to see each other to reconcile.
