Lindsay Dee Lohan, born in 1986, is an American actress who perfectly embodies the ideal of the enfant prodige. She began working as a model at the age of three and made her acting debut in 1996 in the soap opera Destiny (1964). Shortly afterwards she was chosen by Oscar-nominated writer Nancy Meyers to play the role of twin sisters, the film in question being of course The Parent Trap (1998). This film, which cost $15 million, entered the list of one of Disney‘s most-watched films, grossing $100 million. After other film experiences, Lohan took a few years off from acting, dedicating herself to a music career. Between 2003 and 2005, she would play some career-defining roles, Cady Heron in Mean Girls, Maggie Peyton in Herbie: Fully Loaded and Anna Coleman in Freaky Friday At this time, Lohan was among the most sought-after young actresses in the industry, alternating this with her music career with her first album Speak. From this period onwards she would begin her metaphorical descent when she declared her problems with anorexia, alcohol and drug addiction. Lindsay Lohan in the period between 2007 and 2015 would experience very difficult times, spending – at two different times – time in prison for drunk driving and theft.
Precisely because of these reasons during these years her career will not see great heights: in 2007 she shares the set with Jane Fonda in Georgia Rule, then she participates in a few episodes of Ugly Betty and in 2013 she takes part in The Canyons, the film by Paul Schrader.

On Thursday 7 October, Netflix released the trailer for the new film Falling for Christmas, this film officially marks Lindsay Lohan’s return to screens. This new film will be released on Netflix on 10 November, and Lohan plays Sierra, a newly engaged heiress who after having a serious skiing accident – due to total amnesia – loses her memory. Because of this accident Sierra will be placed in the care of a charming shelter owner, played by Chord Overstreet, and his daughter, a few days before Christmas.
