Luca Guadagnino and Timothée Chalamet are back together after the success of Call Me By Your Name. Bones And All will be presented in competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival. After announcing it at a press conference, the very first official images have been released. The film will be released in U.S. theaters on November 23, 2022, while a release window has not yet been set for Italy by Vision Distribution. Based on Camille DeAngelis’ novel Bones & All (Down to the Bone), it is based on a screenplay written by David Kajganich-already the writer of two other Guadagnino films, the Suspiria remake and A Bigger Splash.
In the first images we find Timothée Chalamet with the film’s female lead, Taylor Russell (Lost in Space, Escape Room) the two actors respectively play the roles of Lee and Maren, two young people struggling with the difficult experience of first love: Bones And All is the story of first love between Maren, a girl who is learning to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, a loner with a fighting spirit; it is the on-the-road journey of two young people who, in a constant search for identity and beauty, try to find their place in a world full of danger and that cannot tolerate their nature.
Alongside Chalamet and Russell we find in the cast: Michael Stuhlbarg, André Holland, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon-Green, Jessica Harper, Jake Horowitz and Mark Rylance.
