In the array of talents illuminating the current cinematic and fashion panorama, the name of the very young Deva Cassel stands out, a promising newcomer rapidly transforming into a star. Born in 2004, Deva is the result of the union of two cinema icons: the wonderful Monica Bellucci and the eclectic Vincent Cassel.
After enchanting the world of fashion as the face of Dolce & Gabbana and making several appearances on some of the most prestigious covers of international magazines, Deva is gearing up to conquer the big screen in the role of Angelica in the new Netflix series “Il Gattopardo” (The Leopard). This ambitious project, consisting of six episodes, will offer a modern and passionate reinterpretation of the masterpiece written between 1954 and 1957 by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, later brought to the cinema in 1963 by director Luchino Visconti.

So, at just 19 years old, Deva Cassel will grace the role of Angelica with grace. After triumphing on international catwalks, her foray into the world of cinema has been eagerly awaited, confirming that her artistic baggage goes well beyond the fashion system.
The exceptional cast, in addition to Deva, includes Kim Rossi Stuart in the role of the Prince of Salina, Saul Nanni as the young and charming Tancredi, and Benedetta Porcaroli in the role of Concetta, Angelica’s cousin in love with Tancredi. The direction is entrusted to Tom Shankland, with the support of Italian directors Giuseppe Capotondi and Laura Luchetti, promising to offer a narrative spectacle unique in its kind and of the highest quality.
However, this is not Deva’s first time. Indeed, she has already made her debut with the film “La bella estate,” also directed by Laura Luchetti. This cinematographic work, set in Piedmont, is based on the novel of the same name by Cesare Pavese. The cast, composed of young talents, was led by actress Yile Yara Vianello and, indeed, by Deva Cassel herself.
