Social media have gone crazy over the weekend for what is in effect the news of the summer: the Bennifer got married, but there is no photographic proof of their marriage. Incredible considering the fact that we literally live in the era of Instagram, where (often) what doesn’t happen on social media doesn’t seem to have really happened. And it’s even more incredible when you think of the media exposure that the couple has undergone since their first engagement in 2002.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are husband and wife, according to the couple’s close friends and a couple of shots published in the newsletter of the singer, a confirmation of the deep bond that unites the two artists known on the set of Gigli. The TMZ site first launched the news, showing the documents that would prove the ceremony last July 16 in Las Vegas, only for very few close friends. The couple would obtain a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, with the names Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
Only last April, Jennifer Lopez had shared her engagement ring with the millions of followers, triggering a surprising happiness for the nostalgic Bennifer of the early ’00, when he appeared in her video “Jenny From The Block”. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were engaged from 2002 to 2004, constituting one of the most iconic couples of those years and most pursued by the paparazzi – the video was a kind of complaint about this. Eighteen years later Bennifer seem more united (and more beautiful) than ever: they travel the world, they have fun accomplices on the red carpet and show us that it is true, as Venditti sang, “Certain loves do not end, they make immense turns and then return…”.
