Trend: are anklets the new chokers?

Some say it’s the new choker: the accessory of the moment is not around our necks, but around our ankles! We’re talking about anklets, a kind of jewellery that’s been around since the times of Ancient Egypt. Anklets have always decorated female bodies in summer, giving it a fresh, exotic touch — have you ever noticed how it’s an essential in oriental dancers’ outfits?
Chiara has a collection of ankle bracelets, and when we went to Puglia, she also bought one made of strings and beads. Anklets also have fans among top models, such as Lily Aldridge and Behati Prinsloo, who wear identical ones when they are out together. Anklets were also spotted on the catwalk shows of Chloé and Calvin Klein. It’s definitely a summer trend, but who says you can’t also wear one in winter?
