As we already mentioned, forgetting about make-up during this quarantine is not allowed! Our beloved Manuele Mameli knows it well, glam artist of some of our favourite celebs, including of course our muse Chiara Ferragni, has decided to join us for a series of tutorials designed especially for this period of social distancing. If there is an unmissable appointment, in fact, during these days of isolation, this is the one with the video calls! Whether they are for work or for an aperitif in memory of the old days with friends, we will certainly not be unprepared and thanks to our Manu we have created the perfect video call make-up for you! Hi everybody, today we’ll create a super easy and quick make-up for these quarantine days! Following a few easy steps, you’ll be at your best during your video calls, whether they’re for work or for fun.
I’ve already hydrated the make-up base using the moisturizer and now we’ll try to correct Francesca’s dyschromia, who today will be our model. I’ll just use a concealer, but if you have more need of covering, I suggest you to use a liquid foundation to keep a glow and natural effect on your skin.
STEP 1
I put a little bit of concealer on the back of my hand and I’ll apply it on the face using a soft bristle brush to better blend it. I’ll apply it in the areas that I want to highlight such as the eye contour, that’s always the darkest, around the nose, that is a very sensitive area which often reddens, on the chin and a little bit on the eyelid so that we’ll have a perfect make-up base.
STEP 2
The next step will be about intensifying the eye since during the video calls your eyes we’ll be the focus. In this case, I’ll use a black pencil to define the eye corner. I’ll make tiny hatchings in the outer corner without being too precise since we’ll need to blend it. Remember to always blend outwards to lengthen the eye.
Since the pencil is creamy, we’ll fix it with black powder. A black or brown eyeshadow is perfect to fix the line we created with the pencil. Intensify the more on the upper lash line and blend the rest of the product upwards. The same goes for the lower rim.
STEP 3
Now that we have outlined the eyes intensifying them with a dark shade, we’ll blend an on top eyeshadow on the eyelid in the colour you like the most. I’ll use a gold eyeshadow to try to enlighten as much as we can the whole face. We’ll start from the centre of the eyelid and then we’ll blend the product all over it.
STEP 4
Another fundamental step to create a cute video call make-up is to emphasize the eye’s inner corner with a highlighter; it will make our eyes brighter and bigger. With a soft and shimmering shade, we’ll intensify the eye’s inner corner.
STEP 5
Another fundamental step is given by the mascara! Abound with it both on the upper and lower eyelashes to define and volumize them. Apply the mascara first on the lower lashline to ensure that after, looking up, we won’t stain the eyelid.
STEP 6
Let’s apply a little bit of blush to warm up the cheeks. Use now a stick highlighter to enlighten the upper area of the cheeks. After having hydrated the lips, apply a liquid lipstick since it is long-lasting and it won’t need us to make retouches during the whole video call.
So as you can see, with a few steps, we’ve created a perfect video call make-up.
I’ll sum up for you the steps:
- Define the eye with a black pencil and blend it
- Apply a shimmer eyeshadow on the central part of the eyelid and blend it all over it
- Abound with the mascara both on the upper and lower eyelashes
- Warm up your cheeks with a little bit of blush
- Use a long-lasting liquid lipstick
