Ebbene sì, nel bel mezzo della London Fashion Week, alcune tra le più grandi celebrities around the world, in particolar modo i grandi nomi di Hollywood, hanno sfilato sul red carpet degli ultimi “British Academy Film Awards” (BAFTA).
La stagione delle premiazioni è ormai avviata, così alla Royal Albert Hall di Londra ritroviamo attori del calibro di Cate Blanchett, Anya Taylor-Joy, Julianne Moore, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler e molti altri ancora. Il rapper britannico Little Simz ha allietato i presenti durante la serata con una sua performance, mentre l’attrice Helen Mirren ha reso omaggio alla Regina Elisabetta II.
Tra tutti i presenti però, di certo non sono passati inosservati William, Principe di Galles e Kate, Principessa di Galles, che hanno piacevolmente assistito alla manifestazione. La Middleton (obv) ha indossato un abito custom made di Alexander McQueen, disegnato da Sarah Burton.
In conclusione, i BAFTA – per chi non lo sapesse – sono stati creati nel 1947 per onorare l’eccellenza nelle arti cinematografiche britanniche, ma negli anni successivi sono diventati un riconoscimento internazionale al mondo del cinema e della televisione di tutto il mondo. Organizzati dalla British Academy of Film and Television Arts, i BAFTA sono una tra le più antiche istituzioni del settore cinematografico britannico.

LA LISTA DI TUTTI I VINCITORI DEI PREMI BAFTA 2023
Quest’anno “All Quiet on the Western Front” si porta a casa il più ambito premio dei BAFTA 2023, vincendo come miglior film e altri sei premi. Poi, a seguire “The Banshees of Inisherin”, si è piazzato al secondo posto con ben quattro riconoscimenti, tra cui quello per la migliore sceneggiatura originale e quello per l’interpretazione di attori non protagonisti di Barry Keoghan e Kerry Condon. Durante la serata Cate Blanchett è stata incoronata migliore attrice protagonista, per la sua magistrale interpretazione in “Tár”. Austin Butler invece, che ha interpretato Elvis Presley in “Elvis”, ha vinto il BAFTA come miglior attore protagonista.
