Yes, another Milan Fashion Week has come to an end. These days we got to know some of the upcoming trends for Fall/Winter 2023, the best Italian fashion houses – but not only – walked the catwalk.
And just like that… the press, buyers and a host of celebrities literally catapulted into the Italian fashion capital. This fashion week seems to have proved to be a real success. Maximilian Davis’ latest collection for Ferragamo certainly triumphed, one of the biggest confirmations in recent days. Then Marco de Vincenzo at Etro and Filippo Grazioli at Missoni, both of whom managed to tell their creative vision to perfection while keeping the heritage of their respective maisons firmly in place. Then the Gucci fashion show, not designed by the new creative director Sabato De Sarno, but by the creative team of the well-known Made in Italy brand. They walked the runway for the fashion house of the two ‘G’s’ looks symbolic of the Tom Ford aesthetic, in perfect mashup with that of Alessandro Michele. Who would have imagined such a combination? Despite this association of different worlds, everyone would seem to be looking forward to the new designer’s debut in September.
Among the big absentees is Versace, which will soon be walking the runway in Los Angeles, just before the Oscars. Below is a recap of the main shows of Milan Fashion Week.
