After New York and London, Milan Fashion Week, one of the most popular around the world, finally seems to be back to normal. Starting today, 21 September, and continuing until the 25th, many fashion houses begin to take to the catwalks. Milan, too, tells of its Spring-Summer 2023 collections in a calendar full of events, including fashion shows and presentations. The official one to consult is public and visible on the official website of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion. This Milan Fashion Week is the scene of brand-new debuts and the unwavering appeal of the most famous fashion houses – some with brand-new creative directions. For example, the Salvatore Ferragamo universe will be represented for the first time by a new British name, that of Maximilian Davis. Then the arrival of Fabrizio Grazioli from Missoni and Marco de Vincenzo from Etro, and Andrea Incontri for Benetton. How will these new designers represent these historic names of Italian fashion?
Milan Fashion Week, during the first day, opens with the return of Antonio Marras to the catwalk. Then during the first day of fashion week we will have well-known fashion houses including, in order: Marco Rambaldi, Diesel, Fendi, Del Core, AC9, Alberta Ferretti, N°21, Roberto Cavalli and ANDREĀDAMO. Among the top brands to show on Thursday 22 September are Max Mara, DSQUARED2, Prada, Moschino, Blumarine and GCDS. During the last three days of fashion week we will have Tod’s, Etro, Gucci and Versace on Friday, Trussardi, MSGM, Bottega Veneta and Luisa Beccaria on Saturday and Sunday. To find out the full calendar, see here. Among the events to be celebrated will be the 70th anniversary of Moncler, on the catwalk on Saturday evening, and the 30th anniversary of Anteprima, which will be on the catwalk on Thursday.
Not only clothes on the catwalk though, presentations will also play an important role. From Borbonese to Brunello Cucinelli, passing by Alessandro Enriquez, Jimmy Choo, Le Silla and Bulgari. Instead, speaking of events, one of the most eagerly awaited will take place at La Scala Theatre. We are talking about the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards, for this edition in collaboration with the United Nations Ethical Fashion Initiative, a unique event also supported by the collaboration with other entities such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the ICE Agency.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, and all we have to do is wait for all the shows to find out what’s new for the Spring Summer 2023 season.
