Eliza Rose is a well-known British DJ, music producer and singer. Very young, born in 1998, Eliza was born in the East End of London, and began her approach to the world of music at an early age, starting work at the Flashback record shop when she was only 15. Among her greatest passions, even before she began her career as a DJ, were the soul and jazz music of artists such as Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday. For almost two weeks now, her new single B.O.T.A. has been number one in the UK, a perhaps unexpected success that makes her the first female DJ to reach the top of the charts for at least 20 years. Then again, how could we forget the 2000s single I Feels So Good by Sonique.
Back to Rose, her newest track B.O.T.A. – Baddest of Them All – is one of the most loved and played in London’s atmospheric club scene. The track, which has also gone viral in Italy, has a distinctly Nineties sound that is hard to shake off. Produced by Interplanetary Criminal it may seem like a nostalgic track, taking us back to the aforementioned 90s, and reflects many of Eliza Rose‘s personal characteristics.
“B.O.T.A. reflects my feminine and cute but at the same time bad girl personality!”
– Eliza Rose
Not only a DJ, Eliza seems to alternate her passion for music with her passion for writing, proving that she is also a storyteller capable of telling the deepest parts of her soul through music.
